Youth Council
The Region VI Youth Council was established to provide expertise in youth policies and make recommendations to local boards regarding youth issues. The Youth Council members, who are not Region VI Workforce Investment Board (WIB) members, are considered non-voting members to the WIB. The Youth Council is considered a subgroup to the WIB.
The Youth Council membership is composed of WIB members, individuals who represent juvenile justice and local law enforcement agencies, local public housing authorities, parents of eligible youth seeking WIA services, youth who have or are currently receiving WIA funds, and Job Corps.
The Region VI Youth Council has bi-monthly meetings, which are open to the public. For more information regarding meeting dates, please contact our office @ 304-368-9530.
